On the Magpie website, one can connect a wallet by clicking on the "Connect the wallet" button present on the screen.
Currently, Magpie is designed to work seamlessly with the Metamask wallet. This means you can interact with our protocol using that specific wallet, enjoying its features and functionalities.
However, we understand the importance of providing flexibility and we have exciting plans underway to support multiple wallets as we are actively working on expanding our integration capabilities to include a wider range of wallets, thereby enabling you to connect and utilize our protocol through the one you like the most.
Now that you’re connected, you’ll see the default connected interface, which looks like:
Now you’ve just got to decide which tokens you’d like to swap and on which blockchain you want to swap from and to. To make things more straightforward to explain, we’ll be swapping LINK on Arbitrum for AAVE on Optimism. Both of these tokens are non gas tokens and generally ones that are not supported on most bridging protocols, as most bridges are limited to native gas tokens, stablecoins, and the protocols token.
Keep in mind, you can select ANY token and ANY chain you’d like, and we’re just using these as an example.
First you’ll want to click on the button for Network & Asset selection below where it says “From.”
Now we’ll select both the network we’re swapping From and which asset we’re swapping. For this example, we’ll select Arbitrum under “Select a Network” for our starting network and then type in the token we’re swapping LINK, and select it.
Once selected, the app will return to the default connected screen where we will now click on the button for Network & Asset selection below “To” and select Optimism as our destination chain and then type in the token we are swapping FOR — AAVE.
